Why does SYLVIA generate images with fezzes and moustaches?
The original visual training corpus was overweighted towards ministerial portraits and patriotic posters from 1880–1989, resulting in recurring moustaches and fezzes appearing across inappropriate subjects — including women, children, and inanimate objects. This bias has been partially addressed through expanded integration of rural women's periodicals (Domazna Straja, Ilustra Gospodarka, Večna Vuna) and ongoing oversight by a disambiguation unit operating under joint supervision of the Royal Data Correction Centre and the Ministry of Gender Harmonisation and Archives.
